1. Choose a make-up artist that is going to capture 'you'...
Most make-up artists get booked up well in advance. Be sure to give yourself enough time to bagsy the one you want. I recommend looking at least 8-12 months in advance of your wedding date. Some get booked up two years in advance so I would say its never too soon to look and book. It is really important to choose someone who you feel will capture 'you'. Your wedding day is about making 'you' shine to accentuating your natural beauty- instastalk their work.
2. Have in place a good skin care routine...
Having a good base to build on will give you the maximum effect. Try to cleanse, tone, moisturise and throw on a face mask once a week for at least six months prior to your big day, it will get rid of any dead skin cells or build up.
3.Beauty treatments...
Whether it be lashes, hair colour or cosmetic aesthetics, please be sure to trial these well in advance of your wedding. Could you imagine getting a set of lashes done for the first time a week before your wedding and you react- nightmare?! Preparation and timing is key. Talk with your specialist provider and ensure you trial any new technique at least three months in advance,
4. Look after yourself- body and mind...
Planning a wedding can be stressful stuff. Try and be organised, plan a head to prevent rushing around last minute. Make sure you are getting enough sleep and are taking regular exercise. Most women will be stressing about fitting into their dress, please make sure you are eating a balanced diet and not skipping any meals. Good nutritional food will help you with your natural glow. When things start to feel like they are getting too much, take a break and read a book or practice some yoga!
5.Stay hydrated...
Drink at least two to three litres of water a day for no less than two weeks before your big day. Your skins natural glow will start to show. Water also helps to smooth out any fine lines and reduces the appearance of pores. Be sure to drink lots of water on the morning of your wedding (alongside the champagne of course).
